The story of Beaver Valley Hospital is a story of dreams, of hard work, and of many dedicated and far-sighted individuals.
It is a story of well-laid plans and of temporary failures. But ultimately it is a story of success and turning a dream to reality.
After many attempts and years of trying, they broke ground on June 28, 1965 on the Beaver Valley Hospital located at 85 North 400 East. The hospital opened on Wednesday, August 10, 1966. On January 10, 1987, the Beaver Valley Hospital expanded with a Long-Term Care Facility, providing a home away from home for the elderly citizens of Beaver County and beyond. It was not long before all 24 beds were full.
Lee Strong served as Administrator until 1990. Craig Davidson became the hospital Administrator in December 1990 and retired in June 2017. Scott Langford became the Administrator July 1, 2017.
In the 1990's, recognizing the need for more space, planning began for a new hospital to be built at 1109 North 100 West. Construction began in June of 1999, and the new Beaver Valley Hospital opened on July 1, 2000.
The hospital's commitment to growth and modernization continues today. In 2021, construction began on a massive remodel of the hospital, which is currently in its final phases, ensuring that Beaver Valley Hospital will continue serving its community with updated facilities and care.
